This is last Christmas ('07)- Bella decorating the tree. She put 95% of the ornaments on the bottom 5% of the tree. she was concentrating so hard and being so careful with each ornament. Some branches had 4-5 ornaments on them. It was absolutely adorable!

So at church yesterday, an elderly lady (bless her heart) stopped me in the hall:

Lady:"You certainly have your arms full."

(I was carrying Paislee & Kailia and dropping Bella off at nursery because Levi teaches the teenagers.)

Then she does a double take and says: "They sure look alike. Now are they twins?"

Me: "Ummm...yeah they are twins."

Lady: "Oh! A boy and girl!"

Me: "Ummm...actually two girls."
(note: they both were wearing dresses)

thank you complete stranger for rescuing me...

Thank you to the man who rescued me Saturday afternoon. I was on my way to get some Christmas shopping done, turned a corner and my car started sputtering. I hurried and pulled over and got my emergency lights on quickly. Luckily I was mostly out of the way of traffic. As I watched 3 of my neighbors drive on by, I tried to get a hold of someone to go over and watch the girls while Levi came to rescue me. (I had all the car seats). Shane, a father of 3 girls pulled over. Not wanting me to feel uncomfortable or in danger, he pointed out the three girls in his car. I got in with them as he drove me to the gas station. What a nice guy, stopping to help me on a busy Saturday. The last Saturday before Christmas. He not only helped me in my dumb situation, but he also helped give me a little Christmas magic I have been missing out on this year.

Bella-isms

I love to hear kids' interpretation of the world around them. I promised myself as Bella started talking that I would write down all the cute and funny things she says....

"Mom, I want to keep you." (when she wants me to sit down with her and hold her)

"I want to watch Ladies & the trampolines" (Lady & The Tramp)

"Let me tell you a secret....POOP!" (while slapping her knee and laughing hard...hmmm remind you of anyone?)

"Let's have some tea & dob-bis-pips" (dog biscuits)

"Mom, I want to hold this kind." (Referring to one of the twins)

On a side note: Ugly Betty is casting newborn identical twins for one of their episodes featuring the new baby. The weight limit is 10 lbs and under...dangit the twins are 2 pounds too heavy! That would've be so fun to go to New York and have Paislee & Kailia in an episode of Ugly Betty!

you're going to want to eat 'em...

my girls that is....bella is so cute with her little sisters! she bawls whenever she thinks she has hurt them in some way. i love her big tender heart. kailia is always busy busy busy. sweet sweet paislee is just content to be. and my precious levi is out in the garage working his butt off. you hear his air compressor in the background(yes, it's 8pm and he has been up since 7am). wow. i feel like each moment is slipping away faster and faster. i am trying to capture it all so that one day i can look back and remember this little piece of heaven i have here. i love my family. i think i am the luckiest girl in the world.

Cutest 3 month old twins ever!

We got the girls' 3 month pictures taken a while ago and I wanted to post them, because they have to be the cutest little twins you've ever seen! They are now actually 4 months old, but it's taken a while because my laptop cord broke and I am lost without it!

Someone broke into Levi's truck last night and stole a few tools. Why are people so annoying???

EWEltide Holiday Market Boutique

A lady in my neighborhood put together a boutique last holiday season and is doing it again this year. Featured: jewelery, bumble watches (the bracelet watches you can switch out), aprons, scentsy, bath soaps & fizzies, Usbourne Books, baby blankets, fudge, bags, vinyl decor, baby clothes, and I am doing hair bows & flowers, & Levi's picture frames.

It will be Friday December 5th from 2-9pm and Saturday the 6th from 10am-7pm at 2453 W. 700 S. Lehi.

I think it will be good. Bring a friend. See ya there!

Light Bulb Moment

The recent events going on in the world have me worried and full of anxiety of what the future holds. I have been looking for ways to become a happier person. Tonight I had a "Light Bulb Moment". In this last conference Pres. Uchtdorf gave a fantastic talk called "Happiness, Your Heritage". Wow. What he said really made sense to me. These are my favorite lines from his talk:

Creating and being compassionate are two objectives that contribute to our Heavenly Father’s perfect happiness. Creating and being compassionate are two activities that we as His spirit children can and should emulate.

If you are a mother, you participate with God in His work of creation—not only by providing physical bodies for your children but also by teaching and nurturing them. If you are not a mother now, the creative talents you develop will prepare you for that day, in this life or the next.

What you create doesn’t have to be perfect... Don’t let fear of failure discourage you. Don’t let the voice of critics paralyze you—whether that voice comes from the outside or the inside.

Ever since "Super Saturday" (craft day), I have just been craving something crafty, & creative...and now I realize why. It was so soothing and calming for me to sit and create something useful and beautiful. Really, it wasn't anything fancy. But I feel addicted. I have been looking for more inspiration and ideas to create. So here is my list of things to create and a few pictures I found to inspire me (mostly so I don't forget)...

1. A quilt for each of my girls. (Kalli, could you maybe give me some direction with this? How do you bind a quilt? How do you create the pattern?) They have some way cute fabric at Broadbent's Department Store in Lehi.

2. Learn more about photography & photoshop. (I really really want to upgrade to the full photoshop and learn "aged", & all the other ins & outs of lighting and composition.)
3. Turn the empty bedroom upstairs to be my craft room. (So I don't have to put anything away, where I can be nice & organized with all my stuff and be able to see it)

4. Crochet those really really cute baby girl hats for my girls.

5. Make some picture puzzle blocks for Bella for Christmas...

6. Okay I really need to learn to make homemade rolls & cinnamon rolls & bread. (Rhodes is pretty close, but doesn't count according to Levi).

The Twins are Almost 4 Months!

So I love that my girls are interacting more now. I love this video clip...Paislee helping Kailia out by literally "lending a hand". I love it when they are naked! I can't resist kissing their bellies and nibbling on them. Look at their chubbiness! They have come so far from their skinny gauntness when we first brought them home.

Kailia is Levi's alarm clock. She wakes up and starts squawking just to be heard. When I am feeding the girls, Kailia does not hold still. Paislee tries to keep up with her sis by cooing and making the sweetest sounds ever heard. She tries to squawk, but it just comes out as angelic little noises. Paislee seems to be calmer and more laid back. She can be very cuddly and is mostly content. I love them both so much and just can't believe they are almost 4 months old. It makes me want to cry. They are growing up way faster than Bella did. That's why I take lots and lots of pictures and video clips.

my new bed!

Levi built us a bed. After 5 years of marriage, we have been sleeping 4 inches off the ground with a bed frame. Our mattress is sweet (thanks to brad johnson), but no head or foot boards. So Levi got creative and designed, built, and stained us a beautiful bed with two matching night stands! It's gorgeous. He has also made tons of picture frames, my curio shelf and lots of other things. He is so talented. He already has orders for a custom office desk, rustic bedroom set, and "shipwrecked" themed bed for a bed & breakfast. If he had his way he would build furniture all day long. I am so glad he found something he is passionate about. Any ideas for a business name?

first snow day!

I woke up and knew that it had snowed before I even looked out the window. I could just sense it. When Bella woke up I couldn't wait to show her. She was so excited! While I was doing things around the house, I noticed she kept opening and closing the door to the deck. Then I discovered she had been building a snowball in my living room! I realized I wouldn't be able to win this battle, so I got her all bundled up with some toys and sent her out to the deck to play. She was outside in the snow for a good three hours! She kept saying, "I love to taste the snow." Levi got a picture of her laying face-down in the snow, tasting it. I am glad she is so adventurous. She didn't even complain about getting cold.

Does anyone have any creative ideas for fun indoor things to do? I can't take the twins out much and I think we are going to go crazy! I have thought of a few things: Kangaroo Zoo, Jump on it, library, lehi swimming pool, paint our toe nails, make cookies, play dough, make slime, visit grandmas, visit the pet store, the aquarium in sandy, make movies, finger paint, thanksgiving point dinosaur museum...what else?

halloween is finally over! not to be a grinch or anything, it was just dragging on and on this year. The girls did look adorable in the their little costumes. Bella was a "Tiger" (a lion), Paislee was a bunny, and Kailia was a giraffe. My three little animals looked so cute. We took the girls to Macey's to visit Nana and see her crazy costume. She was a poodle. Then we went to Nana & Papa's (Levi's parents) and they took them and their cousins (gunner, gavin, & taya) trick-or-treating down the street. They fed us pizza too! Then we stopped by the Goss/Snyder home to show off costumes and see their cute kids. Then we went to Grandma Renee's house to see cousins Jayce and Jax. By that time Bella was acting so grumpy, so we decided it was time to get everyone to bed after a good bath.







Then we pulled out the old mullet wig. Why are mullets so dang funny???

We miss Papa Don

After spending a couple weeks in Utah, my Dad left back to Canada yesterday. We already miss him so much! We always have so much fun when he comes to visit and I am always surrounded by lots of family. Before he left, we went out to eat at IHOP. After saying a tearful goodbye, I immediately felt so lonely. It felt like a big empty space in my heart. We miss Papa Don so much! On the way home, Bella was crying and kept saying, "where is every bodies?" "i miss every bodies" "papa don is way far away in cannanna". It's funny how you get used to a routine and when that changes, you miss it. My dad has a great way of bringing my whole family together and making us laugh and making you feel special. We are already counting down the days until his next visit.

full week

Wow! It has been a jam packed week. We celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary on Thursday the 9th, Blake & Jen's temple sealing on Friday, Dylans bday party Saturday, Rhett's bday on Saturday, and the twins' baby blessing today (Sunday). Being surrounded by such great family & friends makes me realize just how much we are blessed. I feel so lucky to have so many amazing people in my life! I love you all! Thank you for everything!!!! I will add pictures as I get them from Nicole & Katie.

Urine Sample Mishap

I was looking through Bella's baby pictures and found these. Doesn't she look just like her little sisters??? The difference is these were from the first few days home from the hospital. She is bigger then, than they are at 2 months!

So I just remembered a funny story about Bella. A few weeks after the babies were born, I got an UTI. I had to take all three girls to the doctor with me, which was crazy. I took Bella into the bathroom with me to give my urine sample. She was absolutely fascinated by my specimen in the cup. She kept asking all sorts of questions and watched me put the specimen in the little window thing.

Two weeks later, after going through the antibiotics, I still had the UTI. So back to the doctor I went- this time with all three girls and Levi (who was sick too). While I was being examined, Levi watched all three of our girls. Well, Bella was very stinky and Levi didn't have a diaper. So he had to leave Bella (without a diaper, on the table) and the girls in the bathroom alone for a minute while he hunted down a diaper from a nurse.

When Levi got back, Bella was wet all over. He asked her what happened and she said "Mama's pee." He was like, "WHAT???!!!" She pointed to an empty urine sample cup on the floor! She had opened the little window thing, and pulled out some random stranger's urine sample thinking it was mine and spilled it all over herself! Her little dress was drenched in someone's pee!

By the time I met them out in the waiting room, Levi looked absolutely ready to pull his hair out. He told me he appreciated all I do and didn't know how I do it everyday. He also said, "I don't blame you for never leaving the house!" What a great way to get some appreciation. I just couldn't stop laughing.
