Just a few things on my mind lately...

Something that has been on my mind the past few weeks: HOW PRECIOUS life is. Life is such a precious gift. I need to focus more on living in the moment, enjoying this earth and all that it has to offer me, enjoy the time with my precious family & loved ones. I am so very blessed. I need to LIVE EVERY SINGLE MOMENT. I need to savor & cherish even the dull mundane moments. Because one day, I know I’ll want those back. I want to hold, cuddle & kiss my little ones while they are still little and they still let me & need me. I need to play Memory & Hungry Hippos with Bella and read to her every spare chance I get. I need to focus on cleaning the house one day a week, instead of stressing & feeling guilt about it every single day. I need to give Levi more TLC every day, so he never doubts for a minute of my love, devotion, gratitude & faithfulness to him. So that he knows how blessed I feel to have him as my partner, companion, & best friend for not just this life, but for ETERNITY.

I have been given so many many precious gifts from God. Gifts that He gave to me for specific reasons. I need to remember how fragile life is. That any single moment can change everything. I need to savor each moment I have with my family. Their love is what gives me joy in life. I need to cherish my beautiful girls’ childhood. I need to ENJOY EACH SEASON. I need to remember that I am in God’s hands and that He knows me. He loves me. He has a plan for me. That everything will be okay. I am here to learn to live and to love. I am so very deeply touched by His love for me. I am so grateful for it all.

i went pees-es 6 times

I am currently going through withdrawals. I lost my camera a few weeks ago, and can't seem to remember where I placed it. So, no new pics. Just this cute one taken on my phone when Bell got her hair cut.


Bella: "Mom! I went pees-es 6 times!"
Me: "Oh?"
Bella: "Yeah! That means I get 4 marshmallows!"


Bella: "Dad, I'll be super fast! Couple days!"


Me: "Did you have fun with Grandma today?"
Bella: "Yeah I did. I didn't even need you!"
Me: half heart broken half proud "That's awesome Bell. I am sooo proud of you!"

Today is Levi's sister's birthday! Happy happy birthday Teisha!!! Here is Teisha's birthday list:

2. Nickname from childhood is "Scooter" & "Scoots" (I think because she scooted around not crawled?)
3. Long brown hair that grows really fast (I wish mine did!)
4. Doesn't really look like she is Levi's sister. They look so different.

Happy Bday Rosie!

Today is Levi's mom's birthday. We are so grateful for her in our lives. If you know her, you know that she is an amazing person. If you don't, here's a list of things about her.

1. She was raised in Kingston, UT
2. She was adopted by two of the sweetest people you'll ever meet
3. She has long curly black hair that gets tangled in bella's fingers
4. She couldn't be mean to anyone I swear
5. Really patient (see number 4)
6. Very creative
7. Outgoing and friendly
8. Raised Levi so well to be a gentleman and sweetheart. He is the best dad & husband as a result.
9. Recently lost almost 50 lbs. (AMAZING!)
10. Loves her Pepsi
11. Collects Pepsi memorabilia
12. Loves crafting
13. Excellent cook. {Don't you think she should start a cooking blog with all her experiments???}
14. Floral manager at Macey's and is really good at her job
15. Would do anything for her family...especially grandkids
16. Broke her ankle once falling down the stairs
17. Teaches in Relief Society and spends lots of thought & time on her lessons
18. Very generous

Okay, I have four little grabby hands impeding me from finishing this BDAY LIST. So, when Levi gets home tonight, he gets to finish his mom's birthday list. Happy Birthday!

Back to the Hospital

Another trip to the hospital today. Bells woke up saying, "Mom, I just don't feel good today." I watched her labored breathing for a couple minutes and knew it was not good. I was worried the pneumonia was back. She and I got colds last Tuesday or Wednesday, and we both started coughing a couple days ago. Now Tinies are sick too.

I talked to the on-call dr. and he said to just take her in to the ER, since {of course} she is sick on a holiday. (Why do my kids get sick only on weekends, holidays, or at night?)

She got 2 breathing treatments, some steroids, and more X-Rays of her chest. No pneumonia. She has a fever now though which means it isn't asthma. The doctor called it an Upper Respiratory Infection caused by a Virus. Probably picked it up in nursery.

Bella does get her very own Nebulizer now, which is exciting for her. Funny, because she wanted NOTHING to do with it at the hospital. I am starting to recognize the faces at the hospital now. The X-Ray Tech that is a mix between Dr. Sweets on Bones & JD on Scrubs, The Respiratory Therapist with the white fluffy hair that helped with the twins' birth, Dr. Davis was there the last few times we've been in...

My Bells loves music & the park. So this day was magical. I love Bells in a beanie any day of the year. She used to sing, "baBA baBA".

I remember Bells being really sick before this pic and she lost some weight. This is up in Heber. What a fun time. Was it our anniversary? We ate at Claim Jumper. mmmm.

Some things to remember...

Bella is getting big too fast. When she first starting talking well, I couldn't believe the things that came out of her mouth. They are becoming fewer as she is learning more and more, but here are a few from this last week.

B: Mom, can we pinger faint?
M: Yeah we can pinger faint!
B: I loooove pinger fainting!


M: Bella, why are you leaving a trail of chips on the floor?
B: Because the bees are hungry!
M: Oh?
B: Yeah. That why's they need something to eat!
translation: Bees are actually flies

B: I don't have a baby in my tummy.
M: No you don't. You are too little.
B: Jayce doesn't have a baby in her tummy eader!

Since her recovery, whenever we are talking to someone (at church, a cousin, a friend, a complete stranger) Bella will do a big loud fake cough and say:
"I got the cough-es. That why's I'm really sick!"
She really is better now, don't be alarmed if she coughs on you.

Super Busy & Happy BDay Papa Don

I can't believe how busy we got. I mean, all of a sudden! Bella was in the hospital with Pneumonia last week. She had been 104-105 for about 6 days, without a big cough. I took her in on a Saturday, and the NP said "it's probably just a virus". So I went home feeling stupid and paranoid. By Monday, she still was 105 and I brought her along to the Tiny's checkup. The doctor could tell she was completely miserable. Listened to her breath, checked everything and said he thought it was pneumonia! Dr. Edwards is pretty amazing. No one would have thought pneumonia. She was hardly even coughing. Even the nurse at the hospital said she didn't think that was it. After a chest XRay and some blood work, yep PNEUMONIA! I didn't know anything about it. I've never had it and neither have my kids. I was clueless.

Right away, they put her on an IV with some antibiotics. It took two tries to put the IV in. She was screaming and crying so loud, the entire pediatrics floor could hear. The saddest part was her crying, "stop momma. I want to get up!" over and over again. Next time, I want them to sedate her or something. Seriously, that was traumatizing for both of us. The rest of her 24 hour stay, she ignored all doctors, nurses, basically anyone she did not know. I had to laugh when her nurse came in and Sweet Pea rolled over and faced the window. I guess she figured if she couldn't see the nurse, the nurse couldn't see her and she would go away. I didn't blame her at all though. She was miserable and she went through A LOT for a little girl. How do you explain what is happening to a 2 (almost 3) year old? I tried, but failed horribly.

So while Bella is sick in the hospital, Levi is working so hard. He has gotten just slammed with work all of a sudden. I am not complaining. This is the answer to our prayers. We are so very grateful. He has been working 75+ hour weeks lately. After the slowest deadest winter, we are SO DEEPLY GRATEFUL!

I am extremely grateful for a thoughtful, sweet, hardworking, talented, funny, and handsome husband. I couldn't ask for a better guy. He doesn't complain, even though he is sooo tired and his whole body probably just aches. LEVI YOU'RE THE BEST!


Tiny's are busier than ever. They both decided they wanted to know what is going on in the world upstairs. I have caught Kailia half-way up a few times this week. Paislee is getting a tooth and is completely miserable. Now, Bell is now back to herself again (finally!). The girl cracks me up. I love my three little princesses. They bring so much light into my life. We went to the park today and doubled up Tinies on an infant swing while Bella dug in the dirt. (No that is not Bella digging, it's some random little boy).

Today is also my Dad's birthday. Happy Birthday, Papa Don! We all love you and can't wait to go on a bike ride soon. Funny story about this picture....He was visiting from Canada and it happened to be his Bday soon. So, we had a little 'surprise' bday cake & ice cream. I put the appropriate number of candles on his cake. When I took this picture he was like, "What??!! I'm not 39, I am 38! Come on do the math Lyndsy." So I felt pretty stupid. But then Jen, my sister in law says, "What year were you born? She's right!" The other picture is last year at his "fake" birthday at Tucano's. He loves to get everyone else sung to even if it's not their birthday, so we had to get him at least once, right? ha ha ha

Already famous...

Check page 42 out...so fun. Bella was a winner for this magazine in 2007. We got a gift certificate to Tucano's from her. This time we got one to a new baby boutique in Highland called La De Da. You have to make 'em earn their keep!
