Kailia's Befores

Kailia's After

Paislee Before

Kailia's hair was about an inch longer than Paislee's
Paislee and Kailia got their first haircut last Wednesday. Their hair was so long and very mullett-ish. My good friend Tiffany was able to do it. Paislee wanted nothing to do with it, cried, and finally I had to hold her. Kailia, however, was loving the attention. She sat pretty still and by herself in the chair. I got more pictures of Kai because my arms were free. It was hilarious, as soon as we got in the salon Kailia headed right to the hair dryer chair, picked up a magazine and sat down and relaxed. That's my girl!
I don't like to label them as one way or the other because they are always changing. Especially roles. In the past, Paislee has bitten Kailia countless times and hit her and pushed her down. Roles reversed this week. Kailia has bitten Paislee 3 times this past week- even leaving a purple and red bite mark on her back! She has been terrorizing Pais every single day. I feel so bad, but it comes with the territory of twins!
As newborns, I would always say I'd take another set in a heartbeat. Now that they are approaching the terrible two's, I'd like to retract my statement. They are such a handful! I took them to Story Time at the Library while Bella was at Preschool. One would run up and play with the display, so while I grabbed that one, the other would run up. After 15 minutes I gave up. We got our books and went home.

First tub bath in NICU (no cords or tubes! 2 weeks old!)

This is them straight from their nap. Note that Kailia's clothes are all off except one sock.
Time is really flying by. I look at pictures of my twins in the NICU and it feels like weeks, not months ago. While I miss them being tiny, I love seeing their personalities develop. I love to observe their learning. They are turning into the cutest little girls!
