The otherest day....
I love Bella's words...
"Mom let's go to the park. The one we went to the otherest day,"
This one made me really sad...
B: Mom, when am I going to die?
M: Hopefully not for a long time. Why?
B: Cause I want to see what Heavenly Father looks like.
M: I would miss you. Stay with me for a long time okay?
B: Okay! (pokes her skin on her arm) I will! My skin isn't old enough yet!
This conversation with Papa Don yesterday at the park was priceless:
PD: Did you catch a fish when you went camping?
B: (Holds up a finger) One!
PD: How big was it?
B: (Holds out her hands to show about 12")
PD: Was it a boy or girl fish?
B: It was a boy. Cause it didn't have any eyelashes!
Very insightful.
Her Nana & Papa took her and the twins to Pirate Island over the weekend.
B: That was so much fun!
N: Yeah, we should do it again!
B: I'm available next Thursday!
Sometimes I am a little sad that she is so grown-up for her age. She has adult-mature insights and thoughts. But then I realize how lucky I am that she is my oldest. She is such a great help to me. I am not just saying that. I mean it. People ask me how I do it with 4 children 4 and under and some credit is due to her. She is so sweet and helpful with her siblings, she never complains when I ask her to help with something. She does it willingly and happily. I don't know how I could do it without her!

Bella's prayer
Bella's personal prayer last night:
"Please help me to have a good dream about unicorns, princesses and princes."
She is such a girly girl, but one that isn't afraid to get dirty and have fun fishing with her dad. She loved every minute of her camp out with Levi. I will have to have Levi document his camping trip with the girls to Rob's Reservoir. (I got to stay home with Phinn! Great, relaxing birthday for me!)

Summer 2010 - Update
Wew! What a summer it has been. I know I kept saying, "I'm never going to leave my house this summer..." We have been so crazy busy! Here are our summer highlights:
* The birth of our little Phinny on May 10.
He is the easiest going, happiest baby ever. We love having a boy! (I'm still weirded out by non-pink/glittery/heart bandaids!)

* Hot air balloon launch with Dad early early in the morning on July 3

* 4th of July water slide parties/bbqs at BOTH grandparents' homes!

* Fishing with Dad and the Love's at Deer Creek
* Bella's 4th Birthday (I lost all pictures though and am way sad)
This was a fancy princess dress up theme. 10 little girls in their fanciest attire and Jax in a full tuxedo. This was too precious.
* Our foreign exchange student from Japan
The girls loved her so much! She was so much fun. The communication was a challenge though.

* S'mores on the back deck with Chika, our foreign exchange student. (She loved s'mores by the way!)
* Family reunion in Bountiful with the Johnston's
* Swimming/bbq at the Robinson's
* Lots of barbecues
* Paislee and Kailia's 2nd birthday party. Yes, we had 2 princess cakes. We did concession nachos and got out the water slide. It was so much fun!

* Lots and lots of park days.

* Swimming at the Legacy pool.
* Swimming at Nana's.
* Lots of popcicles and ice cream cones.
Although, it's been hectic, it's going by too fast. As we've added each kid to our family, life gets busier and even better.
Current phrases heard around the Tippetts' household:
Kailia: I miss-y dada/bella/nana/papa/chika.
Paislee: Hi mom. Hi dad.
Kailia: Why?
Paislee: Not me!
Kailia: I'm alright!
Bella: I have to wash my hands, otherwise, there will be germs on them. (what four year old says otherwise???)

Bella keeps asking when pre-school is going to start. She misses seeing all her friends. She is my little helper too. She never complains when I ask her for help. She helps everyone willingly. She is the best at getting Phinn to smile.

Kailia is getting more dramatic everyday. She pretends to be out of breath to exaggerate her point about something. She rarely holds still. She is obsessed with dolls right now and is always putting small washcloths as blankies on them.

Paislee is such a happy girl. She gives the very best hugs. She is fearless of animals. When her and Kailia get in a fight, she is the first to hug and say "I'm sorry Kai-Kai". Paislee loves her pink "Bootsies". She insists on wearing them everywhere with everything. She is such a fashionista though...she can pull off anything.

When Paislee looks in the mirror at herself, she sees Kailia. I am trying to teach them that they are individuals, but they don't get that they look the same yet, I think. They have such a love-hate relationship!

Phinn is such a smiley, content little guy. He rarely cries and adores his 3 big sisters. He has discovered his hands and is constantly sucking on them. I try to give him a pacifier, but he doesn't seem to like it that much. His cheeks are coming in nicely, and I am constantly kissing on them. I could eat him up he is so yummy.
Levi has been busy with work the past month. He has done probably 10 new bids in the past 2 weeks. He has found a new niche- pergolas and decks. He loves designing them and doing them. Not so much the office work behind the bids though. We put a little money into an advertisement and have gotten a lot of calls. We're crossing our fingers to get lots of bids! Our newest venture is a Photobooth rental. We are almost finished building it. We'll rent it out for parties and weddings. It takes me back to the days at the mall photo booths in Jr. High...Life's good. We are happy. That's all that matters, right?

I have been designing photo announcements for what, 4 1/2 years now? For friends and family and even people I don't know that even pay me! You'd think that when my baby was born I'd have this perfect extravagant birth announcement out before he was even one week old. Well, I did design one and even ordered it through Costco. And yep, it's still sitting in one of their bins. I haven't had the time to pick them up yet. So, I figured before he's five years old, I should put them on the ol' blog. Welcome Phinn! You are the cutest little baby boy I've ever seen! And yes, I have a hard time deciding. So here's version 2.

Their faces are different mom
Paislee and Kailia are identical. Their DNA is supposedly mostly identical (there have been studies showing that identical isn't really identical). Bella hasn't really been able to tell the two apart until recently. I asked once, "How do you know which one it is, Bella?" she replied, "Their faces are different mom!" (like I was the dumbest person on earth). Here is a picture from the other day. They seemed to be doing similar things. Whenever they create a symmetrical picture, I like to snap a photograph. It's funny to me in a way. Can anyone tell who is who?

This little guy is my sunshine every day. He makes me so happy! He is so easy going and sweet. I got very lucky with such an easy baby. Thank goodness, because the twins are keeping me on my toes lately...but that's a whole other story for another day. He had his first real smile the other day (at about 4 1/2 weeks old). Levi checked on him in his bed and he was just so happy- he gave him a big smile. Levi just had to pick him up. He is loving his new little buddy.

Paislee loves holding "brudder". She freaks out every time I take him away.

Too Big

My bella is getting way too big. We went to her pre-school graduation party June 2, and she was adorable! They did the pledge, sang some songs, got their "diplomas". Oh it was just precious! She is growing too fast. It has been amazing to see her growth this past school year. She has learned so much. Her biggest accomplishment is learning all the letters of the alphabet and the sounds they make. She has gained a lot of confidence. She has a high self-esteem. She is sensitive to others. She made a lot of friends. Playing with friends has become a huge priority to her. She loves her teacher, Miss Sandra. She tells me how beautiful she is, and how much she misses her. It is so sweet.
She is also sleeping in her room again! I never thought this was going to happen. It helped that my mom came for a visit and I told her how proud Grandma would be of her. I also promised her not just 2 gum balls the next day, but FIVE gumballs of her choosing. (She loves gumballs lately...maybe it's the cute "bubblegum" song she learned in pre-school...hmmm...)
She is also OBSESSED with puzzles. She can't get enough of them. She will do a puzzle for hours. She is getting really good at them too.
Last night she said, "Sometimes things make sense and sometimes they don't. Everything doesn't have to make sense, though." Wow...deep.
