Paislee & Kailia had their first day of preschool last week. I was grateful that it started after Labor Day. I didn't feel ready to send off a Kindergartner AND 2 preschoolers! It is all happening so fast. When I dropped them off at Miss Sandra's Paislee ran right inside. Kai was a little clingy, but warmed up fast. They loved their first day! They like to sit at the counter with Bella and do "their homework". Bella told Miss Sandra last year that her sisters can't sit together. Miss Sandra is taking her advice. Otherwise, I think they would fight with eachother.
Bella is still loving Kindergarten. The second day of school, I asked her if she made any new friends. She said "Yes. A girl named Daniella was sad because she missed her mom, so I held her hand." So cute and sweet. She has such a giant heart. She also rides the bus. The first day she rode it home and thought it was so fun.
Phinn was a little lost the first week with no sisters...he wandered around looking for them. He has adjusted though, and loves snuggling with mom and reading "Blue Hat, Green Hat" "The Going to Bed Book" and "Moo, Baa, La La La!" by Sandra Boynton. We read those over and over and over and over again some more. I love this precious time I get- just Phinn and I.
Paislee is notorious for the crazy eyes.
Our treat for the first week of school....Brownie Sundaes! Delicious. Kailia is notorious for having the craziest hair.
These kids are growing so fast. I never thought I'd see the day when I had just one at home two days a week. I am getting so much work for our photo booth business done!

back to school
It has seriously been months. It just shows how busy we have been. But I do need to make time to stop and write down what has been going on in our family. I went back and read some of the older posts and I had totally forgotten a lot of the stuff and details.
Starting from just recently...
Bella started Kindergarten! She was so ready. I was so not. But she is adapting quickly. She takes the bus to and from school, which is nice. She loves it and thinks it is so fun, so that is a bigger bonus. Her teacher is so sweet and patient. She is the perfect Kindergarten teacher. Bella has a friend from pre-school in her class, Kyra. She was really excited about that. The first day of class she came home with a Sound Box to fill up with the letter A. We had fun finding things and she brought some Airheads to share with her class. The second day of school, she looked so adorable. So I did first and second day of school pictures!
I love watching this girl grow and learn. She is beautiful on the outside and even more on the inside. She is such a great sister. I watched her help Paislee say the blessing yesterday at Grandma's house. It was such a tender little moment...."please help everyone to be kind and gentle....help everyone to be safe....."

2011 so far
January-Februrary
* Paislee in hospital 2 nights with RSV
Just wanted to watch"Princess & Frogs" over and over again. She was so cute. She loved all the attention she got from the cute nurses. She just wanted to snuggle.
* Phinn 2 days later with RSV & Pneumonia
couldn't get IV in at ER. 6 tries, pediatric team finally got it in the head. He was still a happy guy. Had to watch him from pulling out IV.
* Levi's 31st birthday! Ate at Tucano's to celebrate. Got him a new radio/receiver for his truck. How can you live without music?
* A whole slew of sickness...stomach flu that passed to everyone except Bella! Preschool really is building up her immune system. She used to be the first one to get sick!
* Phinn got another ear infection....more antibiotics! Sore little bum.
* Levi has been working for his friend's framing company. He is loving it, and I am loving the set paycheck. We don't dread payday anymore.
* Lots of showers & birthday parties for our Photo Booth Company. So much fun! We are getting more serious about it and having fun together at the events.
* Phinn is "cruising" now. Pretty soon he'll be walking.
favorite words & phrases:
Kai: "froo froops" ...... Fruit Loops
"wan wan" ......Magic wand
"I wub you too mommy."
"My you cry me" (you made me cry)
Paislee: "Prince Norman" ........ With a bow. Cutest stinkin thing I've ever seen.
"gub gubs" ....... gloves
"Sit with me dad"
I watched the twins play Prince & Princess. Paislee was prince Norman. Kailia was the pouting princess. Paislee goes "Mom! Kai won't dance with me!" I told her to ask her. "Kai Kai wanna dance with me?" So they held eachother's hands and danced. Then I watched as Paislee went in for a long, slow kiss. I was trying so hard not to laugh out loud. Oh my gosh! PRICELESS!
These two have such a love hate relationship.
Bella watched Bambi for the first time. When Bambi's mom was shot, she asked, "Why can't they be together anymore?"
I said, "A hunter shot her and she died." Immediately the tears started streaming down her face. "My heart is broken into a lot of pieces!" She is so tender hearted. I debated whether or not to buy the movie, because I knew it would make her upset.
Things are just so crazy around here...I haven't had the time to update this family journal of our lives. I'm sure I'm forgetting lots of stuff...

Good Weekend
* Nana & Papa came over last night to babysit, while Levi and I were at a Photobooth event. They took the kids to ward party to see Santa.
* Noticed that Phinn now has 2 teeth on the bottom. They must have popped up within the last couple days?
* Levi made a Turkey for a nice Sunday dinner at home.
* Stayed home from church - everyone has the cough-es
* Got Kailia to say "scarf" 1,432 times. ("oopefh", "cawf", "farf", "arf").... so funny.
* The girls are all obsessed by Taya's "Baby Marker" that she left over last night. What makes this doll so special? Seriously.
* Phinn has successfully gotten into a bowl of yogurt (all over baseboard and floor), and a blueberry smoothie (carpet) all today.
* I am so behind on laundry, Phinn is wearing the twins' purple socks.
* 2 gifts left and we are ready for Christmas!!! WAHOO!
* Oh and just about the worst news a mom of twins can get....They can escape their cribs! AGHHHHHH! Now what?
* Phinn is pulling himself to standing on the fireplace hearth. Here we go.
*Kailia is constantly asking "where's _____?" As she names every person she knows.
* Paislee is still obsessed with princes and princesses.
* I don't think Bella stopped bouncing one time during gymnastics last week.
Here are a few pictures of us lately...

it's been a while...
I'm not as good at updating this record of our family as well as I'd like to be. I guess that just shows we have a lot going on!
Bella-
Is going to preschool twice a week and participates in an online preschool study through UPSTART. She is learning so much. She overwhelms us with all of her "Why?" questions. She figured this out and has started saying "How come?". Not much better, but it sure makes us laugh.
Bella's tender heart amazes me everyday. Upon learning that we needed to throw away her Halloween pumpkin, she burst into tears. We promised her 2 more days with her pumpkin and she started her goodbyes. "You're the best pumpkin ever. I'm sure gonna miss you. Stay strong and healthy so you can stay here!" She asked if I would take pictures of her pumpkin. If you'll notice the tear drops on her special orange friend, you'll see just how deep her love goes for those she loves!
Kailia-
I am not sure, but I think she may be British. She calls me "Mummy" and Levi "Daddee". It is quite adorable. She cracks us up with her sense of humor. When asked if she is stinky, she replies, "No, Baby is (Paislee)!" Ha!!! She also tried to trick us telling us her name is "BABY (Paislee)" Paislee loves to play along too. Kailia is quite the performer- loves to dance, sing, be dramatic! Today she swiped her brow with her hand and said "Shew!"
Paislee-
I love that Paislee calls me Mama. It's an easy way to tell the twins apart and it feels so precious and personal. Paislee calls Santa, "Misses (Christmas)" She also calls cows and horses, "Look a Moo, mama!" Paislee is still our little fashion designer. She has a "Princess" (dress) on from the minute she wakes up and even sleeps in them. She fights us all the time on keeping her Princess on. She is our most stubborn child, but oh so sweet. Today she said to Levi, "I want a diss (kiss)!" He went to give her a kiss, she grabbed him by the cheeks and planted a big one on his face! OH!!! PRICELESS! That of course melted his heart.
Phinn-
Totally mobile is our little Phinner. He is into everything. His sisters absolutely adore him and he is constantly getting kissed, hugged, held, toys, and sparkles all over him. Last month we took a trip to the hospital, we found a piece of metal the size of a nickel in his diaper. He had actually swallowed it and it of course, had to come out some how. They did a "Foreign body search" with an x-ray just to make sure that was everything. As his sleep deprived parents, we decided it was time for Phinn to be in his own room. That has made all the difference! He is sleeping better and so are we! I know, he's 7 months....I think I have a hard time letting going and giving in to change. He is such a big boy...so sweet and content. He definitely knows how to brighten our days with just a smile.
Levi-
Works his tail off every single day. I don't know how he does it. He is the glue that keeps our family together. The other night, he could tell I needed a break. He sent me to our room to watch a movie and take a bath, while he fed the kids dinner and cleaned the kitchen and living room spotless. It was only an hour but I came out feeling rejuvenated and refreshed and appreciate and loved and taken care of and so special. I am the luckiest girl to have the most considerate and loving husband. We have been blessed as a family to have him working nearby, meaning extra time with Levi...lunches, dinners, sometimes he gets the entire day off. He sure works hard and sacrifices much for our family. We are so very grateful for such a good man. He keeps me laughing with his wit and humor. The kids are entertained by his back rides, tickle tortures, wrestling, and Marshmallow Adventure Stories. There isn't a man out there with a bigger heart. He does anything he can for his family and we love him very much.
We are loving this Christmas season with the emphasis on our Savior's birth and life. He blesses us everyday and we are trying as a family to serve others and be more like Him.

happy half-year bday Phinn!
It has been six months since Phinn was born. Where has the time gone?
Here are some of his tricks:
* He can roll across the room
* Sit up alone
* Says "Gah"
*Giggles
* Is ticklish
* Is eating solids -bananas and mush
* Makes us laugh
Laura Bunker Photography did his 6 month pictures. I absolutely adore them. She is amazing.
